Bridge

This hand-built ceramic collection draws inspiration from the structural beauty and symbolism of bridges across various historical periods. Each sculptural form reinterprets piers and arches as metaphors for connection through time, space, and life. I crafted the pieces using slab-building techniques, incorporating architectural motifs along with hand-painted surface decoration. A clear matte glaze finish was applied to evoke the rough textures of rock, concrete, and metal typically found in bridges. 

This project was a study in translating architectural language into ceramic form. It deepened my appreciation for bridges as feats of engineering and vessels of human continuity. The process reinforced my commitment to storytelling through design and craft.
