Kitchen Island Table
This custom table was designed to extend an existing kitchen island and create a seamless dining space. Tailored for a family member, the goal was to provide ample seating for up to five people while maintaining a clean aesthetic that complements the surrounding cabinetry and fixtures.
Made from brushed stainless steel, the table is durable, lightweight, and easy to maintain, making it ideal for a high-traffic area like the kitchen. Additionally, it can easily be moved to face the living area to watch TV.
I led the design process and collaborated with the Montreal-based metal fabricator MONMETAL to bring this concept to life. The project reflects a thoughtful consideration of both function and form.

I learned the importance of clear communication when working with manufacturers. Translating a design vision into a tangible, functional product required detailed coordination, openness to feedback, and collaborative problem-solving. The collaboration was a valuable learning experience in bridging design intent with fabrication realities.
