Virtual Fashion Design Collection
As part of the CLO3D Virtual Fashion Design Certificate at Parsons School of Design, I developed Kambio, a digital fashion collection inspired by Mexico's cultural richness and textile traditions. The project draws inspiration from Kitzin, a social initiative that empowers craftswomen from Chiapas, Oaxaca, and Guerrero. Kitzin supports these women by promoting creativity, providing quality materials, and expanding their sales networks.
Kambio reinterprets the artistry of traditional Mexican textiles into a collection that is modern, fun, and comfortable, designed for younger generations who value cultural expression and ease of wear. The line draws inspiration from traditional garment silhouettes and regional color palettes, reimagined into playful, everyday pieces.
As I learned to use the tools in CLO3D, I completed all aspects of the design process in a digital environment.
Concept & Mood Board:
I created a visual mood board using Instagram posts from Chiapas, Oaxaca, and Guerrero to capture the cultural textures, colors, and environments. This inspired the color palette, Kambio logo, and overall aesthetic, blending traditional Mexican influences with a modern, youthful vibe.
Fabric Design:
I created six original texture swatches, inspired by traditional weaving and embroidery patterns, and modified them to work digitally within the CLO3D environment.
Garment Design:
The final collection features five distinct looks, each modeled and rendered in CLO3D. The designs blend textile storytelling with modern cuts; it includes playful dresses, statement tops, and relaxed trousers that visually nod to traditional motifs.
Branding & Presentation:
I developed branding elements for the Kambio line, which included clothing tags and a custom shopping bag. Additionally, I rendered a short animation featuring a digital model walking in one of the final looks, bringing the collection to life.

This project was a hands-on exploration of how technology can bridge tradition and innovation in fashion. Using CLO3D, I gained a solid foundation in 3D garment construction, patterning, rendering, and animation. Beyond the technical skills, Kambio reflects my commitment to cultural storytelling through design and my growing ability to communicate identity and heritage in playful, fashion-forward ways.
